2007 Dallas Buffalo Baseball
Club
is seeking players for this season (starts April 1st)
Please
email us. Check out our site.
For all those ex-college and ex-pros who have played
in the DABA for many years........
A new open-age premier amatuer wood bat
league is being formed as we speak for 2007
The president of the DABA College league (who has rights to Reverchon)
has agreed to work with us to allow play at Reverchon through
the summer a we have for decades. We are working to acquire a
second centrally located quality field as well.
The league will be open age and limited to only 8 teams for 2007
to ensure the highest quality of amateur hardball in the metroplex.
The league will consit of:
1) Ex-College players
2) Ex-Pros
3) Current D1/or Junior College players who wish
to come home for the summer and have the opp to travel to the
NBC tourney but without playing 60 games in 2 months. This will
also give you the chance to get your feet wet playing with guys
who have experienced major league and/or minor league baseball.
Teams from this league will have the opportunity to compete in
the AABC, NBC, and MSBL national tourneys. This league will cater
toward the needs of working individuals and fathers who have the
desire to compete on an intense level. The goal is to provide
to highest level of amateur baseball to Dallas' toughest teams......all
while keeping our jobs and families intact. The season will be
spread out from April 1st to September taking breaks for holidays,
and tourneys.
If you are an ex-college, ex-pro, or college player looking for
the highest level competition this spring and/or summer contact
us for more detailed information. All new players who come
to us via this website will be made available to all teams via
a league draft. Players who have traditionally played on some
of the existing teams should remain with those teams and speak
with your manager as always.
The new league management is working during January to organize
the rules and requirements of the league. This includes: Name
of the new league, affiliations, requirements for having a team,
league fees, fields, season schedule, etc. We will build a new
web site as well......linked from this page.
We will call all potential managers that we know of by Mid-January.
Existing area teams from the 2006 DABA and MSBL are being considered
among others. If you are a manager with a team and wish to be
considered please email
Ben Jenkins. Criteria for the ability to operate a team in
this league will be available soon. I can tell you that you should
be looking for a real sponsor. The highest quality play, more
games, and quality fields means it will not be cheap. If your
serious..... you can find money. We have a marketing and PR team
available for our league.....see OFB.
The league will be heavily promoted, community service oriented,
and visable to local media.
-Ben
Jenkins & Sam Kayea
